We really tried to soak in the last few weeks of warmth this month. Sara Jane just keeps crawling, babbling, and, well, eating. This girl loves trying new things! Mostly sweet things, but we're trying to diversify.
I just love this cute picture of Hayden giving SJ some OJ on Mimi's back porch. This was such a perfect summer evening. Look at that happy girl!
We introduced SJ to the splash pad at the park down the street. She...mostly likes it! And I mostly like her little swimsuit and yellow turban.
We took a super quick trip up to Pocatello for Hayden's cousin's wedding and we stopped by Uncle KT's house. He got to meet SJ and he and Jo (his wife) are smitten! Not surprising. We like KT and Jo a lot.
We went to another Real Salt Lake game this month! Once again, we're just indoctrinating our little girl.
Over Labor Day weekend, we went to Bear Lake and Soda Springs for the Anderson Family "Huckleberry" Reunion. Against every tip we received that this year was a bad year for berries and that we'd almost certainly find no berries even high in the mountains, we still went looking. Lo and behold, we found nothing. Oh well. At least we had a great time!
We started the weekend with a day at Bear Lake. This was the BEST lake day I've had in a while! The weather was PERFECT, not a cloud in the sky, and there was almost nobody there! I think I saw one other boat the entire time we were out. It was so wonderful! And SJ loved it too! Well, mostly.
When we first got on the boat we rented, we tried putting SJ in a lifejacket aaaaaaaand it didn't go well.
Eventually we just gave up and took off the lifejacket and then all was well.
Sara Jane had so much fun, in fact, that she fell asleep on her grandma while we were driving the boat back to shore.
And on the cover of this month's Baby Magazine, Surf's Up edition...
I'm sorry, a long-sleeved suit with a swim bow?? Get outta here.
And here's Sara Jane with her cousin Nolan at the family picnic. Someday they'll be good friends!
Besides a couple of trips up north, we also had some visitors from down south come to see us (mostly SJ, but Hayden and me too). Here's Grandpa Steve and our chocolate-faced baby at a wedding out in Tooele.
I had to include this picture here because a. look how cute and b. this is where we spend a loooot of time.
Well, the weather's getting cooler, and SJ's only getting cuter! I want to remember how much our girl loves to talk and babble. She also loves to crawl around, especially outside! Depending on the surface, sometimes she'll scoot on her right leg and step on her left foot...not sure why but she's pretty efficient! And finally, she also loves to sleep like a stink bug. It doesn't matter what position we lay her down in, she usually ends up face down, bum up. Just like this!
