A 3,000 HOUR JOURNEY OF FAITH

Elizabeth Fooks, who is currently living in Cleveland, Ohio, had to endure many hard trials in her search to find and connect with God. “The bedrock of my faith is my journey of spending about 3,000 hours over eight months searching for the meaning of life,” she said.

Geological Record is the BYU Geological Sciences alumni magazine. Here in the College of Science and Math dean's office, we write the articles and design the magazines each year. This was my article, for which I interviewed a professor and a graduate student who took several field trips to Hawaii to study the acidity of the islands' soil.
