Our little girl is almost two months old! This month has been full of baby Sara Jane finding her smile, and this week, her voice! She's talking a lot more and yelling at us when she needs something. She has started sleeping 5-6 hours at a time at night, which is an improvement! I started working a couple of weeks ago and I miss just being able to focus solely on snuggling my girl, but we still get plenty of bonding time. Oh, how I love her!
The most significant event of this past month was Sara Jane's blessing day on January 23. Hayden gave her a beautiful blessing. A few of the things I remember him blessing her with are as follows:
Remember that she is loved by her earthly and Heavenly Mother and Father
Have confidence in her abilities and her divine heritage and potential
Develop a love for learning and education
Be filled with charity and give others grace
She wore my blessing dress that Grandma Kathleen made over 25 years ago and she looked like a little angel! It was a beautiful, sunny day and we gathered with the family at the church pavilion for some refreshments after Sacrament meeting. What a lovely day!

SJ also went to her first BYU game! We borrowed some baby ear muffs from our friends and dressed her in the outfit that our friends Syd and McKay got for her in Spain. She slept through pretty much the whole game and looked like a little boy in the blue outfit, but WOW she's so cute.
SJ also took her first trip to Idaho! After I was cleared to get in hot tubs at my six week appointment, we headed up to Soda Springs to visit family and soak in the Lava Hot Springs. We visited our friends JJ and Bailey along the way and met their baby Rookie, who was born just nine days before SJ! It was the first time SJ met anyone smaller than herself. We could barely even handle the cuteness of having two tiny babies next to each other. We can't wait to see these two become friends!
Grandma Linda loved snuggling with SJ, and we enjoyed a relaxing (and freezing) weekend in Idaho.
Since it was so cold, we dressed SJ in her little warm outfit from Grandma Wee. Toooo cute!
Papa Steve and Sassy (I guess the name is sticking!) came to visit as well. They are so enamored with Sara Jane. She's going to be spoiled as can be!
As exciting as our weekends can be, most of the days just look like this. I love this little girl with my whole heart!
